Your expertise will help to deliver a solution that will ensure an ongoing stream, or regularly updated content, to a public-facing website to promote investment in Queensland's critical minerals sector.This is an exciting opportunity to collaborate with a variety of technical discipline teams, such as geologists, geoscientists and, data and economic analysts, to deliver a user-friendly interface and back-end systems that will integrate with an existing Azure Synapse solution and connect to other databases, including an SQL database and an AWS Redshift instance.Interested??
Apply today.About the roleAs the Lead Data Engineer, you will:Deliver an Azure cloud-based database solution that, builds an upon existing Azure Synapse data lake solution and interacts effectively with data stored in an AWS Redshift instance.Develop and implement data models based on Kimball principles that conforms data across multiple sources.Identify, design and implement process improvements, automate manual processes, optimise data delivery ETL, and re-design Azure services for scalability.This Position RequiresExperience in Azure data solutions.Detailed understanding of Kimball data modelling, and data warehousing.Strong data engineering and database development skills, and data wrangling and programming skills (R and/or Python).Understanding of data governance principles and toolsThis is a six-month temporary opportunity, with potential for extension.
