The Lead Counsel – Corporate Services will assist the Head of Legal Services in the provision of strategic legal advice to the corporate service areas of TasNetworks (including Strategy, Supply Chain, HR, Digital Solutions and Customer Services) across a broad range of practice areas including litigation, RTI, Privacy, Cyber, procurement and HS&E.

In this significant role, you will lead and manage a team of legal professionals to ensure the delivery of outcomes-focused legal advice in the areas of commercial litigation, workplace relations, commercial advisory and public interest law.

You will be responsible for managing risk and compliance matters; delivering the strategy and implementation plans of the relevant functions; and identifying new opportunities for the business.

The successful candidate will bring significant experience in commercial litigation and/or workplace relations matters gained from a reputable organisation. Experience in public interest law or commercial law is beneficial but not essential.

Crucial to your success in this position will be your sound leadership, communication and management skills. Strong commercial acumen, good judgment, and the ability to build and maintain effectiverelationships with both internal and external stakeholders are key attributes.
