Lead Counsel – Unregulated team The Lead Counsel role will assist the Head of Legal Services in the provision of strategic legal advice to TasNetwork's contestable subsidiary businesses in the transmission connections and telecommunication sectors..
In this significant role, you will lead the delivery of outcomes-focused legal advice in the areas of construction, infrastructure and projects, and general commercial law. You will be responsible for managing risk and compliance matters; delivering the strategy and implementation plans of the relevant functions; and identifying new opportunities for the business.
The successful candidate will bring significant experience in construction, infrastructure and projects matters. Energy experience is beneficial but not essential.
Crucial to your success in this position will be your sound leadership, communication and management skills. Strong commercial acumen, good judgment, and the ability to build and maintain effectiverelationships with both internal and external stakeholders are key attributes.
Senior Corporate Counsel – Corporate Services team Reporting to a Lead Counsel, you will be responsible for the provision of authoritative, strategic legal advice to the corporate service areas of the business (including Strategy, Procurement and HS&E) across a broad range of practice areas including commercial litigation, and workplace relations law.
The successful candidate will have 4 to 7 years' experience in commercial litigation and/or workplace relations gained from a reputable organisation. Experience in public interest law or commercial law is beneficial but not essential.
As a talented and motivated lawyer, you will have a commercial and pragmatic approach, the ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team, and an ability to liaise with a range of stakeholders.
