About the Role
Work in collaboration with Project Managers, Program and Project Accounting teams, Finance Teams and PMO, ensure detailed project schedules and finances are up to date, ensuring version control and driving consistency of approach to facilitate accuracy in project execution and reporting. Ensure alignment with DTP's Investment Lifecycle Framework and PMO reporting requirements. Support the broader Maintenance team to ensure project and program financial reporting is accurate and update to date.
Lead and collaborate in the development and implementation of innovative improvements to complex problems, processes, practices and systems that will lead to increased business efficiency, and improvements in delivery performance.
Apply specialist project management, including program and project financial analysis, to drive the delivery of the capital works program to be within budget and reduce operating costs.Lead the development of high quality reports and influential advice on the status of projects and programs to support effective financial governance of projects and programs.Effectively develop and strengthen the capability and capacity of financial management within the project management team(s).Build and maintain effective working relationships and has appropriately influenced stakeholders to provide timely and effective program monitoring and financial services.Promote and support safe, inclusive and flexible team operations.To be successful in this role you will diagnose trends, obstacles, and opportunities in both internal and external environments, using systems thinking to solve problems and create solutions, while coaching and supporting your team. You will translate strategies into actionable programs or projects, defining governance to manage risks and ensure success. Your ability to drive a culture focused on value addition and return on investment will be key, as will your skill in considering economic indicators to inform strategic direction and manage organisational risks. You will efficiently support the business by optimising back-office functions, proactively adding value for clients and stakeholders, linking people with relevant areas, monitoring satisfaction, and addressing stakeholder issues constructively. Additionally, you will lead the development and application of frameworks to build organisational capability, clearly defining role expectations, providing feedback, facilitating development, and empowering others by delegating responsibilities. Your negotiation and influence skills will be essential in achieving successful outcomes with stakeholders.
