This lead role requires advanced cost and change management prowess from a prolonged career that incorporates knowledge across types of industries (Mining, Infrastructure, Oil & Gas, etc.) and major Client bases, both nationally and locally.The purpose of this position is to plan and execute the Project Controls cost requirements of the project, leading the Cost discipline but supporting Planning and project Delivery functions.This role is responsible for providing technical and administrative direction, coordination, evaluation, training, and coaching to a team of Project Controls specialists in the Cost Discipline. This position serves as Principal / Lead on medium and large-sized projects. Acting as a key resource on a project team, the role will require collaboration at all levels, including client representatives, Fluor management, and functional/project delivery leads.Basic Job RequirementsYour main role duties would be:Develop and implement a project controls plan as part of the Project Execution Plan (PEP) for the project execution.Plan and organize the setup of project cost/budget baseline in Fluor's project controls system, and implement a plan to track against the baseline on a regular basis.Monitor project baseline budgets and overall budget reporting, project forecasting, collecting and reporting project workhours actual and earned, quantities designed and installed, and assist in preparation of accruals.KPI reporting and project daily, weekly, and monthly internal and external reporting, and change impacts maintained through the risk and MOC registers.Monitor and analyze commitments and actuals against control account budgets, analyzing and reporting progress achieved and measured against the plan, managing change control and performance trending across the project functions to support early notification to project management.Produce month-end reporting including the review and consolidation of projects data for month-end contract reviews.Oversee and manage the preparation and reconciliation of client timesheet exports for invoicing.Analyze and make independent recommendations regarding solutions to problems with varying complexity in accordance with organization and/or project objectives and guidelines.Other Job Requirements• Must have experience as a Lead Cost for a large-sized project or a medium-sized project; site experience is preferential.• Significant technical knowledge and practical experience with applicable software systems, such as: SAP, and related Management tools for Cost, Change, and Progress.• Industry-specific experience in all facets and phases of a project: Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Commissioning, and Startup.• May need to travel internationally for project assignments and in support of business-related matters.Preferred QualificationsWhy Choose Us:• Central location plus EOT facilities and free onsite gym at Perth HQ.• A work environment that looks to deliver and encourage you.• Management that are there, sleeves rolled up whenever you call.• Visible career progression that could see you working globally if you choose.• Trust.
