Job Summary This is a Senior Controls Engineer position that requires a strong background in custom automation, precision machining, and design experience utilizing AutoCAD. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in engineering and 7+ years of experience in controls engineering related to custom automation.
Responsibilities Design control systems for assigned projects, preparing drawings and control systems designs using AutoCADWrite and document software, review and manage budgets and schedules, and coordinate with the Controls Assembly Department during the build phases of the projectLead and develop the Controls Design Department, mentoring Level I and Level II Controls EngineersDevelop preliminary project schedules, debug software, and participate in the installation phase of the projectRequirements Bachelor's degree in engineering7+ years of experience in controls engineering related to custom automationAt least 3 years of design experience utilizing AutoCAD software requiredDesired hardware competency: PLC - Allen Bradley, HMI - Allen Bradley, communications, variable frequency drives, robotics, linear actuators, and servosDesired software competency: PLC - Allen Bradley, HMI - Allen Bradley, communications, robotics, and application developmentWork Environment This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, 48 hours of work expected per week. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. Travel will be 20% or more per year.
