About the role Due to our growing client base and project workload, an exciting opportunity has opened within our Heavy Industry Team. Our clients consist of large mining clients, contract miners, drilling companies, rail organisations, manufacturers, breweries, construction, and freight companies. We engage with CEOs/CFOs and work with the operators on the ground. This role will involve managing multiple end-to-end, high-complexity sourcing projects.
Key responsibilities: Manage strategic contracts for clients Complete cost reduction opportunity assessments Manage cost reduction projects Work with and manage project delivery teams Contribute to the strategic direction of the company Support Partners of the business in sales and business development Contribute to the high performing, flexible, and inclusive team culture. The role will be based in Brisbane with travel to client offices interstate and operations in regional areas. About you We are seeking a procurement professional with strong contract management experience, a high level of drive, and a team player mindset.
Key qualifications: Significant contract management experience with large mining or heavy industry companies Management consulting experience Proven ability to manage large, complex tenders involving multiple stakeholders Advanced skills in developing major service scopes of work Strong analytical skills, with advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint Ability to interpret data and quickly identify opportunities Exceptional communication and presentation skills Strong meeting management and negotiation skills Personable, with the ability to build rapport with stakeholders quickly.
