Lead Clinicians also provide professional input into appropriate management, treatment plans and Parole Board reports as required; as well as providing input into the development, delivery and evaluation of treatment programs and provide peer consultation, supervision, training and professional support to colleagues.Your key duties will comprise of; undertaking assessments and delivering group and individual treatment to address criminogenic risk and the psychological needs of offenders, and generating psychological and risk assessment reports. In addition you will liaise and consult with internal and external stakeholders on issues relevant to the management of offenders to ensure coordinated case management; provide advice and support for professional and administrative stream staff within the team; and be an active member of a multi-disciplinary team.To be successful you require tertiary qualifications in psychology with unconditional registration to practice as a psychologist or tertiary qualifications in social work with eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers; demonstrated experience in the administration and interpretation of a range of clinical and forensic assessment tools; knowledge of current best-practice trends in offender assessment and rehabilitation; and experience in the delivery of group and individual interventions.
