Job Description - Lead Civil Engineer (AUS0009ET)

Our business is growing due to an expanding pipeline of work. As a result, we're seeking to recruit a motivated Lead Civil Engineer to join our team in our newly refurbished Perth office on St Georges Terrace.
About the role · You will deliver civil engineering design (process plant platforms, access roads, drainage, and associated infrastructure in remote and challenging terrain) according to required timeframes and standards.
· Issue drawings and other relevant information for construction by working with engineers and designers.
· Supervising the performance of civil engineers, reviewing deliverables, and providing high level technical expertise as applicable.
· Active collaboration and communication with project team and other disciplines in providing input in site selection and layout optimisation of mining projects.
· Contribute to the cost-efficient delivery of civil engineering by managing the project budget and reviewing and approving civil capital cost estimates, recommending alternative approaches where possible.
· Evaluate tenders from a technical standpoint by applying multi-disciplinary knowledge and experience.
· Motivate engineers and other project team members towards superior performance by supporting daily performance and providing ongoing mentoring and training.
About you · Degree qualifications in Civil Engineering
· Demonstrated success as a Lead civil design engineer, ideally in an EPCM environment
· Extensive experience in Earthworks, Roadworks and Drainage design engineering in a relevant industry, e.g, mining, mineral processing, materials handling, and heavy industrial.
· Ability to resolve most technical issues in an efficient manner utilising personal knowledge, external consultants, and in-house experience.
· Knowledge of multi-discipline engineering.
· An in-depth knowledge and demonstrated experience in design of mining facilities, with a proven ability to conceptualise project layouts, and optimise designs is a must. Hands on experience with 12D, AutoCad, or Civil 3D and other modelling software is a big plus.
· Proven ability in enabling strong team performance through coaching and developing teams
· Ability to complete performance reviews on study and project personnel.
· Proven ability to manage, motivate and influence employees at all levels.
· Strong analytical skills.
· Strong communication skills, with well-developed written and oral English language skills.
· Chartered status is a strong asset, but not essential.
· Ability to prioritise tasks for the design team and manage time effectively.
