As a Lead Civil Engineer, you will join a high-performing multidisciplinary team of engineers and designers working on a major rail study project.
This large-scale project is an exciting addition to our existing Major Projects portfolio of works and will see us delivering both front-end feasibility study works and the detailed engineering.
In this, you will take on a critical role to ensure we deliver the work to the highest standard.

Working collaboratively across borders and disciplines, you'll join a leading team working on interesting and complex projects.

What you'll do:Provide technical expertise and guidance across various stages of the project starting from studies through to implementation.Lead and manage a team of engineers and designers and spearhead the development of your team.Provide mentoring to ensure the civil engineering staff are appropriately trained and competent to carry out their roles safely and efficiently.Apply a comprehensive understanding of civil engineering principles to create and deliver practical and economical fit-for-purpose solutions that meet client requirements.Ensure technical solutions are developed in close coordination with related disciplines.Produce and coordinate the production of documentation, specifications, and project deliverables within agreed project timeframes and budget for the given scope.Work to a high professional and ethical standard while growing value to the broader WSP group and the reputation of our wider organisation.About YouYou're likely to have demonstrated capability as a technical leader and people mentor.
In addition, you will bring the following skills and attributes:
Bachelor of Engineering degree in Civil Engineering.12+ years of relevant professional experience and demonstrated experience working on projects located in the Pilbara region.Experience working on study and design projects within the heavy haul rail or mining industry.Ability to lead and manage a team of engineers and designers.Demonstrated interpersonal skills, having impact and influence with the capacity to build professional relationships both internally and client-facing.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyse and resolve complex issues.Comprehensive understanding of civil engineering principles.About WSP | CalibreWSP | Calibre is a leading global engineering and project delivery business to the mining sector.
