LEAD AUTOMOTIVE MECHANICEvans Petroleum Gippsland is a growing, locally owned and operated fuel distributorship employing over 170 staff. We have serviced both retail and wholesale customers in the Gippsland area for over 50 years.
We currently have an exciting opportunity available within our company for an experienced lead automotive mechanic to work in our well-equipped workshop in picturesque Johnsonville.
The successful applicant will be required to:

Have a relevant Australian recognized trade certificate
Have strong technical ability and diagnostic skills
Have excellent time management and the ability to work proficiently unsupervised
Have a keen attention to detail
Have high standards in customer care
Have a current unrestricted car licence
Lead the workshop team to deliver a high level of workmanship
Oversee workshop operations efficiently and ensure productivity

Duties expected will include but are not limited to:

General servicing and repairs on a variety of vehicles (some small engine repairs)
Tyre fitment, balancing and sales
Managing day-to-day operations
Have clear effective communication with technicians and frontline staff
Support, measure and lead the workshop team

Pay will be commensurate with experience and conditions in line with industry and award standards.
