We seek an experienced, passionate, dedicated personal injury lawyer (Lawyer to Associate level) to join our Workers' compensation team full-time or part-time.
Our office is based in the Melbourne CBD, but we also have offices in Dandenong, Geelong, and Warrnambool, providing flexibility to choose a location closer to your residence.
Additionally, we offer a hybrid working option to suit your preferences.

You will work closely with the Partner of the practice, who is an Accredited Specialist.

The right candidate will have two or more years of experience in personal injury law/Workers' compensation in any relevant capacity.

The caseload typically ranges from 70 to 120 files, contingent upon the candidate's experience level.

Job tasks and responsibilities
Building and managing a portfolio of workers' compensation matters, the successful candidate will have passion for this area of law and provide exceptional client service; Providing comprehensive legal advice to new and existing clients; Representing clients in settlement conferences, mediations and court hearings; Drafting correspondence, briefs and other legal documents; and Engaging in business development by building relationships with health professionals, trade unions and community organisations.
Skills and experience
The successful candidate will demonstrate advanced knowledge of the Victorian workers' compensation scheme, including statutory benefits and common law; Confident and personable with a genuine dedication to helping clients; Strong writing, drafting, negotiating and advocacy skills; Excellent interpersonal, organisational, planning, verbal and written communication skills; The ability to develop strong relationships both internally and externally at all levels; Strong analytical and investigative skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail; Results-oriented, self-starter, with a high level of initiative; Adaptable and amenable to changing priorities; and Ability to prioritise workloads and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
