Lawyer / Senior Lawyer – Employment & Workplace Relations

Lawmee is working with a national industry services company that is seeking a lawyer with experience in employment and workplace relations to join a market-leading team on a full-time or part-time basis for approximately 12 months.About the role:Working with lawyers in the Perth office and as part of a fully integrated national group, comprising 40+ Partners and lawyers, you will advise tier-one and well-known clients across a diverse range of interesting legal matters.
The opportunity will provide access to clients across most industry groups, including mining, energy & resources, manufacturing, construction, ICT, transport and logistics, airlines, not-for-profit, and retail.Responsibilities:Providing advice on employment and workplace issues.Advising in relation to discrimination, dismissals and terminations, employment contracts and awards, policies, and performance and conduct issues.Assisting with workplace investigations.Advising in relation to enterprise bargaining strategy and approval, HR/IR strategy development and change management.Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts.Assisting with claims, litigation, and disputes in various jurisdictions (including the Fair Work Commission and the WA Industrial Relations Commission).Managing internal and external stakeholders at all levels.This team is renowned for its positive and inclusive culture, with a significantly reduced focus on billable hours (3.4 hours per day).
This is a key differentiator and allows them to complete complex quality work for tier-one clients, in a more sustainable and enjoyable way.We would be delighted to hear from lawyers with 4-15+ years' PAE and some prior experience in employment and workplace relations law, from either a law firm or in-house legal team.Are you interested in learning more?If you're a commercially minded, proactive lawyer with experience in litigation and disputes (either from a law firm or in-house), it would be a pleasure to hear from you.
