You will report to the Head of Legal, Regulatory Investigations and be responsible for providing commercial, practical, and strategic legal advice regarding ANZ's response to regulatory investigations. You will work as part of a collaborative team committed to continuous learning and development.Role Type: Permanent, Full timeRole Location: Melbourne, VICWhat will your day look like?Applying a client, stakeholder, and solution focused approach, you will work with the Regulatory Investigations team to proactively manage legal risk to business units and the group, including by engaging and managing external counsel where appropriate. You will work closely with a number of areas within ANZ, including Compliance, Risk, and other legal teams, to provide seamless support.What will you bring?To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:Between 3 to 4 years' post qualification legal experience from a top tier Australian law firm or comparable in-house legal team.Post qualification experience in dispute resolution and commercial litigation. Experience in regulatory investigations and/or enforcement activity would also be an advantage.Practical working knowledge of banking and financial services regulation.Ability to identify commercial solutions to legal risks.Ability to work effectively with teams throughout ANZ.Demonstrated project management skills and ability to work under pressure within tight timeframes.Excellent communication skills.A curious mind that enjoys learning about new areas of law and building relationships.You're not expected to have 100% of these skills.
