Join a market leading, top tier Public Sector practice in Brisbane Collaborate and contribute to a successful and impactful team Opportunity to work on large, complex matters for a variety of public sector clients The role This permanent, full-time opportunity for a Lawyer (2-4PQE) is based in our impressive Brisbane office. This exciting role sits within our Public Sector practice working with Partner Jonathan Corby , a recognised specialist in establishing and developing strategic relationships between the private and public sectors.
This role will involve mostly working on commercial matters for major public sector clients with a variety of work that is typically more complicated than that done by the client's in house legal team. The work involves helping put together strategic relationships including significant procurement, infrastructure projects, joint ventures, negotiated M&A, manufacturing, licensing and distribution arrangements, and regulatory advisory work.

Skills & Experience To be successful in this role, you will have:
Strong commercial drafting skills Knowledge and experience in procurement or M&A, either corporate or public sector Passion for problem solving with innovative solutions A proven track record of prioritising your time across a number of busy matters The ability to work autonomously A strong client service focus and work ethic Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, required for building client relationships and maintaining a positive team environment The Public Sector team Our National Public Sector group is widely regarded to be the premier private government practice in the country and has a wealth of talent and experience within the team.
The team helps Commonwealth, State and Local Governments with some of their most interesting, significant and technically challenging programs. We use our skills to solve complex legal problems, assist with the development and implementation of program strategy, and inform policy development.
