This is a three-month fixed-term contract (parental leave cover), commencing in early February 2025.
Our Corporate & Commercial (C&C) team in Sydney has approximately 25 staff members including 7 partners and 12 lawyers. Hall & Wilcox is rapidly developing a reputation as a leading firm for middle market corporate transactions, and acts for a broad range of clients, including insurers, financial institutions, listed companies, private equity backed businesses, long term capital providers and large private companies.

This is a fantastic hands-on corporate & commercial role that offers the opportunity to work with interesting clients across the health, aged care, disability, life sciences and community sectors.
The successful candidate will be involved in a range of matters, including:
Mergers and acquisitions for health, aged care and life science clients;Drafting contracts and other commercial agreements;Drafting and negotiating corporate and project documents;Advising on regulatory requirements, including TGA and aged care legislation;Corporate and clinical governance and risk management;Representing health and aged care providers before governmental investigations, commissions of inquiry and coronial inquests;Drafting privacy policies, advising on privacy complaints and serious data breaches.About you You will ideally have the following skills and experience:
At least 2 years of post-admission experience gained in a corporate and commercial law practice;A keen interest in the health and aged care sectors;A proactive nature and the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team;Excellent technical, analytical and drafting skills with strong attention to detail;Excellent verbal and written communication skills;The ability to organise and prioritise effectively.About us Hall & Wilcox is a leading independent Australian law firm.
