Support the Head of Legal in leasing and property matters, and commercial matters including: reviewing and advising on all property matters in all jurisdictions, including: leases, option leases, car parking licenses and short term licenses; reviewing or drafting and negotiating commercial contracts with suppliers and contractors; and reviewing and providing advice on matters relating to risk and compliance, including the ongoing improvement of governance risk and compliance of all systems, and departments Provide administrative support to the Head of Legal, including: updating and maintaining status reports (including legal, and property status reports); undertaking research when required, and drafting appropriate correspondence; preparation of documents for execution in accordance with policy and procedures; and assisting with statutory reporting where necessary What you'll bring Approximately 5 years' experience as a lawyer who has worked in mid or top tier law firms, or has worked in-house in a reputable organization A current Legal Practicing Certificate Solid experience in property matters and commercial matters Knowledge of laws, in particular retail leases legislation in all states Eye for detail and producing quality advice and work in an efficient manner and within tight timeframes Ability to work autonomously and a collaborative, positive can-do attitude What matters most?
