Position: Industrial Relations & Employment Law (Legal)Sector: Government - State (Government & Defence)Employment Type: Full timeSalary: Add expected salary to your profile for insightsReporting to the Senior Principal Lawyer, in this role you will be responsible for working on allocated legal requests collaboratively with clients and collegiately with other lawyers.The successful personYou must hold a Bachelor of Laws degree and admission, or eligibility for immediate admission, as a barrister, solicitor or legal practitioner of the Supreme Court of Queensland.It is highly desirable that you have a minimum 2 to 3 years post-admission experience, preferably practising in the Workplace, industrial relations and WHS practice area, noting successful applicants will be required to assist the workload of other workstreams from time to time. The other streams are:Public and administrative law, human rights, health regulatory, and knowledge of the Queensland Health portfolio legislationHealth and other information management (including confidentiality, privacy and information access schemes)Litigation in Courts and Tribunals, alternative dispute resolution, commissions of inquiry and coronial inquestsCorporate and commercial law (including contract drafting and negotiation; procurement; ICT; clinical research; IP; construction; infrastructure and other major projects; joint venture advisory; property; funding; insurance)About usThe Department of Health is responsible for the overall management of the public health system in Queensland.
