This is a unique opportunity to join our AUS-NZ Corporate Team based in our Brisbane CBD office as a Lawyer.Jonas Software is a wholly owned subsidiary of Constellation Software Inc., which is one of the largest software companies listed on the Toronto exchange (CSU.TO).Your new roleThis role will report to our General Counsel in representing Jonas Software ANZ in all general legal matters. Key responsibilities will include:Providing legal guidance in relation to Jonas' policies and procedures, governance, and regulationsReviewing, drafting, and negotiating commercial agreementsAdvising on minor dispute resolutionLiaising closely with our businesses on everyday legal mattersAssisting with structuring of legal team processes and workflowsUndertaking due diligence on M&A transactionsHelping build and innovate the legal function within Jonas ANZAbout YouWe are looking for someone with the following skills, experience, and characteristics:Strong research, analysis, and problem-solving skillsStrong written and verbal communications skills, with high levels of accuracyAble to build strong relationships with internal clients at all levelsExcellent interpersonal skills with an open and friendly dispositionExcellent communication and people skillsAble to work independently and to develop and find creative solutions to problemsEffective organization skills, able to manage competing prioritiesAbility to work calmly under pressure and to deadlinesDrive to create efficiencies with the use of technologySkills and BackgroundExperience in reviewing and drafting contractsExperience in a large multi-national corporate business is an advantage2+ PQE - qualified to work as a lawyer in AustraliaOur culture and perksYou will be working as part of a team who love what they do and work collaboratively.
