Our client is a plaintiff personal injuries compensation law firm focused on giving their clients the service they deserve. The Role:
You will manage a range of personal injury files (WorkCover, PIPA, CTP, TPD, perhaps IA) under the supervision under an experienced partner. You will be assisted by an experienced, dedicated legal assistant in a 1-1 situation. To be successful you will need to have at least 5 years post admission experience in personal injuries case management across all of the above work types.
What you will bring to the position:
A minimum of 5 years PAE in Plaintiff personal injuries;
The ability to manage a varied caseload;
Passion for legally challenging and factually complex matters;
A drive to always get the best possible result for every client, and to look at matters on an individual basis - not as a number;
Strong attention to detail and superb written and verbal communication skills;
Maturity and confidence to deal with clients, senior and junior counsel and expert witnesses;
Ability to communicate effectively with experts in multiple
A desire to be part of a strong, cohesive team that works together to get great
In terms of your day to day role, you will be expected to:
Manage a variety of personal injury matters involving motor vehicle accidents, public liability, medical negligence, workers' compensation and TPD claims;
Draft legal documents and use existing precedents;
Effectively assess claims including liability and quantum;
Work with your legal assistant to manage a full file load, and ensure that every case is seeing strong progression towards the best result;
Develop and maintain strong professional working relationships with clients and other relevant stakeholders.
Previous experience using LawMaster will be looked upon favourably.
