The Legal Team - At a Glance The legal department at European Energy consists of 17 lawyers.
We are an international team with a solid skill set within corporate law, construction law, real property law, M&A, finance transactions, and commercial contracts.
We advise the European Energy organization about all legal and contractual aspects related to the development, acquisition, financing, construction, and divestment of large scale wind and solar projects.
The Role - Accelerate your Career We are looking for a business-minded lawyer with corporate law experience who can independently handle legal and contractual processes.
The right candidate will be working with inter alia partnership deals, commercial contracts, corporate and company law, as well as real property and construction-related aspects.
Key Responsibilities Counsel and draft contracts related to Australian as well as wind- and solar projects, including partnership and joint venture agreements as well as commercial contracts related to projects and the day-to-day business.Advise our Australian team on legal and contractual aspects of the project development phase and the construction phase.Conduct negotiations and handle legal processes and transactions.Sparring with colleagues from the legal team and the other departments about specific project-related topics, including risk assessment and risk mitigation.Develop innovative contractual and structural solutions to mitigate risk or solve problems.Develop, build, and maintain relationships with the business and provide ongoing legal services to the business at a high level.Your Profile You have a university degree in law from an Australian university, and you are a qualified lawyer with experience from a good law firm and you have good contract drafting skills.You are thorough and analytical in the execution of your work.You work well in teams and with all types of people regardless of their background.You are pragmatic and have a good commercial understanding of when a compromise is an advantage and when to fight for the optimal solution.You work independently and thrive with responsibility from day one.You possess strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.You thrive working in a fast-paced entrepreneurial company with speedy decision-making processes.We are particularly interested in hearing from candidates with experience in the renewable energy sector.Location: Melbourne, Australia
