You will support the Senior Lawyers and Head of Legal to actively drive our strategy on major disputes, litigation, and regulatory enforcement activity. You will work as part of a supportive team and have the opportunity to develop subject-matter expertise and grow your presentation and influencing skills.Role Location: Melbourne, VICRole Type: Permanent, Full-timeWhat will your day look like?Supporting the dispute resolution team to manage legal risk, business reputation and exposure to litigation through the provision of high quality, timely, commercially relevant, and cost-effective legal services.Preparation of legal research, advice, and analysis on a broad range of subject matters.Establish and maintain strong and positive relationships with internal stakeholders, your peers, and external law firms to minimise business disruption caused by disputes and to help the business deliver on its key priorities.Contribute to a strong and supportive team culture through the sharing of knowledge and continuous growth in core legal and non-legal skills.What will you bring?To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:Experience in dispute resolution and commercial litigation, gained from either a top tier Australian law firm or comparable in-house legal team. Experience in financial services, class actions and/or regulatory enforcement proceedings would be an advantage.Strong legal research and analysis skills, with a demonstrated ability to prepare well researched, analysed and commercially relevant legal advice.Strong project management and interpersonal skills.Team focused with a flexible attitude.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Demonstrated capacity to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment, excellent time management skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities to meet changing demands.Common sense, curiosity, and a love of learning.You're not expected to have 100% of these skills.
