ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY Full time position, Working hours 9.00am – 4.30pm Corporate & Commercial Law within a multi-service law firm Located in our Como office ABOUT YOU As the successful candidate, you will have:
4+ years PAE, experienced in the area of Commercial Law and ideally derived from top tier or mid-tier firms Experience in and confidence running your own matters A passion for fostering client-lawyer relationships with the businesses you advise Experience with LEAP software (desirable) Strong attention to detail ABOUT US DFG Legal is a well-regarded, solution-oriented multi-service law firm operating in the Perth and Peel regions across our three offices based in South Perth (Como), Armadale, and Mandurah. We are in the process of expanding our excellent team and are on the hunt for a Commercial Law superstar to be the face of this practice area at DFG Legal.
Our firm specialises in the areas of Commercial Law, Family Law, Criminal Law, Civil & Commercial Litigation, Estate Planning & Estate Administration, Employment Law, SAT, Mediation and more. Our experienced and professional team of four solicitors, in-house conveyancer and support staff span across three convenient locations.
You will be heading up the Commercial space of our firm – this is an exciting time for us as we shift towards new horizons and expand our reach, doing what we do best. We are seeking an ambitious and driven individual with an appetite for all types of Commercial transactions to jump aboard and kick-start this practice area of the firm; developing meaningful relationships with small businesses and making this area their own.
You will be provided with the autonomy to build the practice area along with the opportunity to develop your own professional rapport with the clients you work with, all the while operating within a supportive and collaborative firm culture where we encourage drawing on the wealth of each other's knowledge.

RESPONSIBILITIES Reporting to the Principal A commitment to building your expertise and development Demonstrating a proactive approach to matter intake Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team Building client-lawyer relationships with local businesses and liaising efficiently withstakeholders as required Drafting business agreements including but not limited to: shareholder agreements, share investment and sale agreements, partnership agreements, contractor agreements, licensing agreements, loan agreements and terms and conditions Drafting leasing agreements such as: retail, commercial and industrial leases and variations and extensions of leases Preparing property transaction documents such as: contracts of sale, mortgages, caveats and other land related applications as applicable Preparation of trust deeds including discretionary family trusts and unit trusts Maintaining a high level of confidentiality BENEFITS Competitive salary commensurate with experience Supportive and collaborative firm culture Opportunities for career development and progression within the firm Opportunity for regional travel On-site parking Flexible working from home / office arrangements 4.30pm knock-off If you would like to hear more about this opportunity, please contact Samantha Jarrett at for a confidential discussion.
