We currently have two unique opportunities working in the group. In these roles, you will be advising on some of Australia's most high profile M&A matters and drafting regulatory, general commercial, land access, and native title advice, negotiating related agreements and conducting associated litigation on some of the most significant projects in Australia. You will also be providing advice to both Australian and International clients across the life cycle of their projects including managing their energy transition and work on first of its kind energy transition projects. You will be able to act for private and government clients and traditional owners.
Working with our market-leading energy and resources and native title team Emma Covacevich , Ben Cansdale , Stuart MacGregor , and Mark Geritz , this role will have you working on a wide variety of matters, ranging from cross border M&A and project development in the mining, gas, green infrastructure and clean energy areas (including pumped hydro, wind and solar generation, battery storage and hydrogen projects) and associated infrastructure including pipelines, transmission lines, port, and rail projects.

Skills & Experience To be successful in either of these roles, the following attributes will be required:
Practising experience of 3-6+ years to Senior Associate levelAn experienced corporate M&A, commercial or regulatory lawyerExperience in the Energy and Resources industry, in particular in regards to clean energy, electricity, mining/commodities or oil and gas marketing, transportation, processing and joint venture arrangements, will be well regarded but not essential Strong people skills; the ability to communicate and build a rapport with our clientsA willingness and desire to commit to potential client secondments to leading energy and resources clientsEffective written and verbal communication skills and an ability to communicate with impact to both internal contacts and external clientsA team player with strong time and project management skillsIn addition to this, we're looking for a driven, self-starter; someone who is able to work autonomously and is focused on attention to detail and providing an outstanding service to their clients.
