About the team
Our thriving Workplace Relations & Safety (WR&S) team has recently been joined by one of the industry's leading workplace relations and safety lawyers, Jane Hall. The team is now headed up by four partners who are recognised by their peers as leaders in the field and work on a diverse range of matters relating to issues such as:

Post-employment restraints
Unfair or unlawful dismissal
Industrial disputes
Compliance with workplace laws
Organisational change strategy and management
Sexual harassment and bullying
Workplace health and safety
Complex workplace investigations

We have a team of more than 20 workplace relations and safety lawyers in Victoria, the Australian Capital Territory, New South Wales and Queensland. Beyond courts and boardrooms, our team prides itself on giving advice where it is most needed, which has included construction sites, warehouses, fishing vessels, factories, quarries and even in a truck or two.
About the role
The team is currently seeking two lawyers to join it in its expansion process - one who has a minimum of 2 years PAE and the other at least 4 years PAE. As an integral member of the WR&S team, you will be required to:

Work on litigious matters in New South Wales, Queensland and Victoria
Be involved in the conduct of regulatory investigations
Provide workplace relations & safety advice to our extensive client base

About you
Given the diversity of work undertaken by the team we are open to considering candidates who are currently working in this space as well as those with experience in commercial disputes, criminal litigation or regulatory litigation who are keen to make the transition into a role such as this. You will have gained exposure to the following:

Managing files and working closely with clients
Litigation work, including court appearances, engaging experts, criminal procedure, contested matters and pleas
Dealing with regulators and prosecutors
Written advice to corporate clients

What is of key importance is your ability to work closely with clients and to build relationships.
