Rapidly growing Design & Construction company targeting future exit Newly created "hands on role" to transition to CFO Broad financial and commercial remit with construction sector expertise $160k-200k + Super + Bonuses, Based in Regional NSW and Sydney We are proud to be representing this entrepreneurial and rapidly growing privately owned business within the Design, Construct and Built environment.
Having exceeded all initial growth targets, they have a clear focus to drive further expansion of services and operations across the Eastern Seaboard whilst leveraging their key relationships/ partnerships with Tier 1 & 2 Developers.
This newly created hire will support a "Fractional CFO" and lead a small team in all aspects of financial control, management and statutory reporting as well as compliance.
You will play a crucial role in managing the financial health of the manufacturing and construction projects business with the vision being that you transition into the Chief Financial Officer role in the fullness of time and play an integral role in the strategic and commercial leadership of the business through to a liquidity event.
Reporting to the CFO, your initial focus will be on gaining a detailed understanding of the company's financial processes, ensuring an end-to-end view of operations to inform strategic financial management.
The role will involve managing budgeting, financial reporting, cash flow, and project-based cost tracking, with a strong emphasis on providing insights that support decision-making across the business.
You will play an active role in the implementation of a new Construction ERP system as well as building project tracking, management and reporting tools to advise operational leaders on performance against targets.
This role has influence and impact across the entire Senior Management and Executive levels and will drive Sales and Operational outputs/ targets through insights and guidance.
We are seeking expressions of interest from professionally qualified (CPA, CA or Equivalent) dynamic and driven individuals keen to make a sizeable impact in a growing business.
You will bring an appetite for learning together with a holistic and collaborative approach to decision making and supporting all facets of a business in collectively growing the capability of the entire enterprise.
Previous experience and a track record of achievement in the Built and Construction sector will be essential to be selected for shortlisting and appointment.
Please note that the company has its Head Office in Young (regional NSW) with a growing satellite operations in Sydney.
There is a strong preference for the successful candidate to be based in Young, so we are encouraging applications from candidates willing to consider a "tree change" or individuals based in Sydney or Canberra that are prepared to commute to Young on a frequent basis.
