The Role
A part time / full time opportunity exists for a law student / junior lawyer to join our growing corporate-commercial team, providing legal advice on commercial transactions (preparing and reviewing contracts – asset/share sale agreement, loan agreements, supply and distribution agreement, general service agreements, and terms and conditions etc.) and corporate matters (ASIC company registrations, advising boards, board and shareholder structuring (and restructuring), board and general meeting procedure, constitutions, shareholder agreements etc.).
You can expect to be involved in a broad range of work and acquire exposure to various experiences and professional development opportunities.
This role will see you working closely with the team's relevant senior lawyers and assisting with:
preparing transactional and corporate governance documentation; conducting public register searches and inquiries; submitting applications, lodging documents and managing registrations with government agencies; legal research; reviewing, considering and managing file materials; preparing advice and correspondence; general administrative support. Qualifications, Experience, Key Skills & Attributes
The successful applicant will ideally have a keen interest in corporate law and contract law.
Additionally, the successful applicant will:
be currently studying, or have completed, a Bachelor of Law (or equivalent) and have completed the topics corporate law and contract law; have achieved strong academic results in university studies; possess high attention to detail, resilience, tenacity and diligence in all work carried out; have strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills; be able to manage and organise time and workload and prioritise multiple tasks in order to get the job done; be able to work autonomously as well as collaboratively (as a team); have proficiency in the use of the Microsoft Windows and the Microsoft Office suite of programs; present in accordance with the professional dress code.
