Law Clerk

The Firm Aegis Law Group is a firm practising in criminal, traffic, domestic violence, and family law. The firm is based at Level 12, 95 North Quay, Brisbane City. You will have the opportunity to appear in Court as a law clerk at mentions, attend sentences and trials (instructing Counsel), and assist with the management of files. You will also receive support and encouragement from other members of the firm, to assist you in achieving your personal and professional goals.
The Role
We are seeking a law clerk to assist the Principal and other staff with a combination of private and Legal Aid Queensland matters. This means you will have the opportunity to work with solicitors and barristers on various criminal law and family law matters. In relation to this role, prior experience across legal and non-legal roles will be considered. It is expected that you will be organised, confident, and have a "can do" attitude. You will have daily contact with the Principal of the firm.
Duties
Your duties will include start-to-finish family law work, not limited to:
Engaging in negotiation/s; Preparing Court document/s; Meeting with clients; Meeting with barristers; and Court appearance/s. Why Aegis Law Group? The firm is based in Brisbane city.
