Role Overview Kalyra is seeking dedicated and detail-oriented Laundry and Cleaning Assistants to join our team in providing exceptional care and support to our residents in a residential aged care home.
As part of our Hospitality Services team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness of resident rooms and common rooms such as dining rooms, offices and amenities.
You'll also be responsible for the collection, washing, sorting and returning of resident clothing.
We have two positions available: Permanent Part-Time: 25 hours per week with the option of additional shifts when available.
The part-time shifts are as follows: Monday: 6:00 AM - 1:30 PM Tuesday: 7:30 AM - 2:00 PM Wednesday: 7:30 AM - 2:00 PM Thursday: 7:30 AM - 2:00 PM Casual: With the possibility of converting to permanent part-time in the near future.
About the Person We are looking for candidates who seek long-term, ongoing employment and have experience in an industrial or commercial laundry setting, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, while maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents.
Strong organisational skills, effective communication, resilience under pressure, and a commitment to confidentiality are also essential for this role.
Apart from this we ask that you have the following: National Police Check or willingness to obtain one NDIS clearance or willingness to obtain one 3 x COVID vaccinations Influenza 2024 vaccination Unrestricted working rights, as the permanent part-time position requires a minimum of 25 hours per week.
