We are currently seeking Expressions of Interest from local aboriginal persons; as defined in the Western Cape Communities Coexistence Agreement who are interested in Local Aboriginal Person (LAP) traineeships. We are looking for a Support Officer Trainee which will be responsible for delivering efficient and effective customer service and administrative support within a team. Duties include: Provide general administrative and event coordination support, with high attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment; Use business software applications to prepare correspondence, reports, presentations, agendas and minutes; Coordinate business travel, meeting arrangements and tracking expenses; Maintaining files, records, calendars and diaries; and Able to work in a dynamic environment with multiple priorities, collaboratively with confidentiality. What you'll bringTo be successfully considered for these opportunities, you must be a local aboriginal person [as defined in the Western Cape Communities Coexistence Agreement]. You will need to have: A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team A full unrestricted C class manual drivers licence (*we are unable to accept applications from those with probationary, suspended or extraordinary licences) Have LAP Status Approval; Have excellent customer service, administration and organisational skills; Be an effective communicator and collaborator who can effectively manage competing priorities, understand stakeholder needs and prioritise accordingly; An ability to provide support to peers as required; and Effectively manage time. The mine is located on traditional land. We work closely with the Traditional Owners to , ensuring that the benefits generated from mining support future generations and that important cultural heritage sites are identified and preserved.
