What can you gain from completing an apprenticeship through Work & Training?
You would be employed by Work & Training – one of Tasmania's largest employer of Apprentices and Trainees, and hosted for the duration of your apprenticeship.
You would be part of a committed small team and under the guidance of the Business owner.
Theory training is conducted at TasTAFE.
Your Work & Training Apprenticeship Employment Consultant provides ongoing mentoring and employment support.
On completion of your apprenticeship, you would receive a nationally recognised Certificate III in Landscape Construction – AHC30921 Learn how to: Liaise with clients in design, layout and materials to compliment desired outcomes, Install structures such as retaining walls, decks and outdoor undercover areas, Improve soil quality, lawn areas and garden beds, Prepare drainage outputs, install basic pipework and water system connections, Create pathways, including paving, stones, aggregate and wooden boardwalks.
Essential Criteria: Hold a current drivers licence and have a reliable vehicle.
Have a White Card.
Have the ability to pass a pre-employment medical that includes drug and alcohol testing.
