WHO WE ARE Tim Davies Landscaping (TDL)are a leading landscape design, construct and maintain company in Western Australia that has been in the business for 40 years. We have designed, constructed and maintained many of Western Australia's most iconic gardens. Based on an all-inclusive design, construct and maintenance model, the business has been growing and evolving which has continued to strengthen our unique brand. TDL now employs over 130 people on projects in Perth and the South West.
THE ROLE We are currently seeking a Landscape Architect to join our Commercial Design team . This permanent role will be responsible for delivering high quality landscaping designs for our clients.
You will contribute to the design and delivery of significant new projects and be integral in shaping and growing our future. We are looking for a candidate with passion for their job, a designer that can push the boundaries, whilst creating beautiful and environmentally aware landscapes that will thrill our clients.
What we're looking for: Qualified Landscape Architect, with a minimum of 3-5 years working experience; AILA Registration highly desired, but not essential; Refined horticultural knowledge; Excellent working knowledge of AutoCAD, Sketch Up, Adobe Suite and other design tools; Experience in producing project outcomes demonstrating quality design and demonstrating an understanding of construction practices; Strong skills in design and documentation at all stages, from concept through to construction; Understanding of council requirements and processes for construction; Project management and contract administration skills, including the development of project briefs, preparing costs and managing budgets; Excellent communication skills to effectively manage relationships with clients and consultants; Ability to problem solve to provide solutions to unanticipated challenges; and Ability to work well with others and autonomously whilst meeting deadlines. This role will be responsible for: Assist in the delivery of projects from inception through to successful completion, which includes initial sketch design, detailed design, documentation through to contract administration; Collaborate with sub consultant groups where required such as architects, engineers and planners to gather information on factor that will affect the landscape design such as planning requirements, drainage, services, existing and proposed buildings and structures; Produce innovative, accurate and considered landscape designs, documentation and specifications to client brief, budget and project timelines; Prepare sketch and concept plans, showing features such as location of buildings, roads and walkways, land contours and vegetation to be planted or retained for client approval; Prepare details for landscape items for construction drawing sets after construction quotes have been approved and complete within allocated hours; Ensure all projects going to construction are evaluated for council approval requirements, and lodge necessary requirements; Complete all design work within allocated budgeted hours per project; Assist in the development of junior team members; and Attend site meetings or site visits as required.
