Landscape Architect/Architect/Design Manager – Mountain Bike Projects

We also have teams working remotely across Australia and Canada in a number of equally amazing locations.We are looking for an experienced Design Manager to base in our Margaret River office and lead our Design function. This position is critical in developing and improving our Design function, providing leadership and mentoring to our talented team, and delivering outstanding projects that exceed expectations.The position:As Design Manager, you will oversee all aspects of our design projects, from initial concept to final completion. You will provide leadership, mentor team members, build strong client relationships, and ensure every project is delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest quality. You will also take on a large portion of design work.Responsibilities:Leadership and management of the Design function, continuously improving processes, monitoring and managing budgets, and identifying and developing new business opportunities;Overseeing the Design Team, including project allocation, quality control, training, mentoring, and conducting performance reviews;Serving as the primary client liaison for all design projects, fostering strong, long-term relationships;Conducting and bringing creative ideas and insights to design meetings and project development;Managing the end-to-end delivery of assigned projects;Developing conceptual and detailed designs along with construction documentation;Staying up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and software advancements.Our perfect candidate will have:A Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture or a related field;5+ years of experience in landscape architecture, preferably in mountain bike trails, bike parks, pump tracks, skate parks, or related fields;3-5 years in a management or project management role;Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines;Strong leadership skills with experience managing and mentoring a team;Advanced proficiency in Vectorworks (or similar CAD software) and 3D modelling/rendering tools like Twinmotion;Competence in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word);A strong understanding of and passion for mountain biking or BMX.Our preference is that the Design Manager is based in our Margaret River office. We may consider a hybrid arrangement for the right candidate.
