Details of the offer

Salary: Salary range between $119,099 - $133,970 per annum depending on skills/experience, + superannuation.
Salary packaging: (up to $15,899 a year, + meal/entertainment benefit of $2,650 a year).
Annual leave: 5 weeks per year.
Other benefits: Christmas shut down period credited as additional leave, LSL vested after 7 years of service, Employee Assistance Program.
About us: Whadjuk Aboriginal Corporation represents the Traditional Owners of the Whadjuk region of the southwest of Western Australia.
We work to manage native title benefits, while also advancing and strengthening Noongar culture, language, heritage, and society.
As our Lands & Heritage Manager, you will support the strategic management and use of land and cultural heritage assets to create opportunities to enable Traditional Owner care of country.
Location: Perth
Hours: Full time – permanent
Aboriginality: The role will assist Aboriginal Community groups to identify needs, develop and implement strategies to address cultural heritage, land management, heritage protection of cultural sites and the cultural intellectual property of Aboriginal people.
For this position, Aboriginality is considered essential.
Therefore the position is a 50(d) position under the Equal Opportunity Act 1984. Duties: Executive Support: Provide administrative assistance to the CEO, Board and Cultural Advice Committee.Prepare and present Board and various committee submissions on matters within the Lands and Heritage Management Portfolio.Assist with writing grant applications and business cases for developing land estate and cultural heritage service delivery potential.Land Management: Manage the land and heritage portfolio pursuant to the ILUA and subsidiary Agreements.Lead the development and implementation of a framework and procedures for processing heritage matters and land offers.Support the Corporation to build an effective land management IT system.Identify and progress land-based opportunities for cultural and economic development.Develop and implement land and cultural heritage management plans.Management of all land and heritage access matters.Facilitate the establishment of the NLE within the Whadjuk Agreement Area.Implement and monitor compliance of all Joint Management Agreements.Support the CEO in land and heritage access negotiations.Develop internal heritage capabilities.Facilitate land holding, heritage compliance and management.Influencing & Managing Relationships: Establish, grow, and manage stakeholder relationships.Support Whadjuk to economically activate its NLE asset base.Promote and manage alliances within the organisation and across sectors.Selection criteria: Aboriginality is considered an essential criterion.High level of IT skills in Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.Previous experience in Lands Management or Cultural Heritage Management.Experience in developing asset management plans and strategic business plans.Experience leading and managing large projects in a land administration environment.Experience in making decisions in complex circumstances.Experience in communicating and influencing others.Excellent oral and written communication skills.Strong commitment to the development of the Noongar community.Current driver's licence and able to undertake 4x4 driving in bushland if required.Apply now: Seize this opportunity and apply now by addressing the selection criteria.
