We are seeking a talented technical leader to take these problems head-on as part of the development of the next generation of Command, Control, Communications & Computers (C4) systems for the Australian Defence Force (ADF).
In this role, you'll apply a systems thinking approach to designing and executing a complex system of systems integration and verification program. Your expertise will shape the priorities and efforts of this work, including incorporation of COTS products in a military environment, modifications to existing systems, and integration of new autonomous systems technologies.
ResponsibilitiesJoin our Battlespace Communications System (BCS) team in Brisbane and take responsibility for:
Developing strategic approaches and plans for future complex integration & verification activitiesGuiding the detailed planning and conduct of verification activitiesWorking with systems engineers and product designers to understand and influence system design and evolutionLiaising with end users, customers, suppliers, and other peer organizations to ensure that I&V work is well coordinated and addresses their needs and risksExperience/QualificationsTo thrive in the role you should:
Have a track record of delivering large programs of integration and verification work into a complex stakeholder environment, preferably for defence customersHave experience in designing and operating system integration labs and other environmentsPossess an engineering background in systems engineering and/or product engineering in the communications domainDesirably have specific experience in working with deployed land systems in challenging communications environmentsDesirably have experience in applying digital engineering/modelling and simulation techniques as part of complex verification campaignsApplicants must be Australian Citizens to meet defence security requirements.
