About The Company: Our client is a privately owned and operated business with considerable rural holdings whose mission is to be a catalyst for change in the community, the environment and the investment landscape. With a growing portfolio of projects, they partner with reputable carbon advisory companies, to deliver high integrity carbon credits alongside nature repair outcomes including those that protect endangered native species. Their strategy focuses on ensuring that the land is restored to attract wildlife, work with water, using regenerative practices to support productive food systems, and to contribute to a positive legacy for the local and regional communities. About the Role: The Land & Environment Manager is a key leadership role that works alongside a team of strategy, design, finance and operational professionals in overseeing a land portfolio consisting of regenerative agriculture and environmental planting projects. The role provides expert technical support on environmental, ecology and biodiversity issues, and is hands-on in executing the strategy, including working with a team in undertaking pest, weed and fire management activities. In addition to this, the role involves origination of grant opportunities to fund conservation projects, including those that also contribute to, in part, the Group's not-for-profit conservation reserves that focus on protection of endangered species. About the Person: To be considered for this career defining opportunity, applicants will ideally possess the following key skills and attributes: Experience maintaining a portfolio of Australian land management and biodiversity projects Knowledge and understanding of methodologies under the Australian Carbon Credit Unit (ACCU) Scheme and FullCAM Modelling Experience using GIS software (ArcGIS, or similar) Excellent communication, financial management and presentation skills A willingness to regularly conduct field surveys and commercial assessments Undergraduate qualifications in environmental science, engineering, ecology or agricultural science A self-starter with high levels of initiative and a can-do attitude On Offer: This is an exciting opportunity to join an expanding business with a versatile, positive and trusting culture.
