HCB Rural and Land Management – Singleton NSW

Our business, HCB Rural and Land Management, currently has full time positions to fill in Singleton, NSW.
A variety of services are provided to rural landholders, mining companies, commercial businesses and NPWS including:
Weed control, monitoring and strategic management plansRural and commercial fencingTree planting and bush regenerationErosion controlProperty maintenanceBushfire mitigation, including trail maintenanceWe are looking for additional team members who are highly motivated, have good work ethic and appreciate working in an outdoor, often physically demanding, environment.
Previous work experience in some or all of the above fields is an advantage but the business will also consider candidates who demonstrate a strong interest and willingness to learn new skills required of land management and conservation work.
Current drivers license and reliable transport5 day, Monday to Friday availabilityConstruction Industry White Card or a willingness to obtainCurrent AQF3 Chemical Use accreditation or a willingness to obtainAbility to pass an Order 43 medical, required on NSW mine sites.
This includes conformance to strict drug, alcohol and non-smoking policies.An understanding of risk management practices and working under safe work procedures/policesPreferred Role Requirements: Experience across a range of land management and conservation tasks which could include weed control, weed identification, land rehabilitation, fencing, sediment control, vertebrate pest management, slashing, bush regeneration, bushfire mitigation, track maintenance and property inspectionsCurrent accredited chainsaw trainingExperience in the operation of chainsaws/brush cuttersExperience in the operation of heavy equipment such as tractors, excavators, skid steer loader, mulcher and slasherExperience in rural fencingExperience in operating 4WD and RTV vehiclesA basic understanding of maintenance on vehicles and auxiliary equipmentAll employees undertake a trial period to confirm a person's skill base, experience and general suitability for the role and integration in the HCBRLM team.
