Bringing an exciting mix of local and well-known global brands, The Edit offers a range of the best in specialty gifting, clothing for the whole family and luggage to take it home in.
In this role, you will take ownership of the daily management, working closely with our Area and Operations Managers, our Support teams, and our team on the ground at Cairns Airport.
You will lead from the front ensuring that our team is engaged, supported, and trained to the highest standard, to provide unparalleled customer service. You will ensure clear communication to ensure the day-to-day operational activities run smoothly.
In this role you will: Lead from the front with a hands-on approach Ensure the team is trained effectively across customer service, product knowledge, inventory control, and merchandising Manage rosters (Airport location with extended trading hours) Ensure the site is clean and well maintained at all times Solid skills in coaching and developing team members We're looking for someone with experience running the day-to-day activities in store, with strong leadership qualities and commercial acumen.
Our ideal candidate will also demonstrate: Proven experience leading a team in a fast-paced environment Proven management experience within the retail industry Excellent written and verbal communication skills Experience with rostering, inventory management, and training Proactive approach and previous experience achieving KPI's and targets Availability to work across a 7-day rotating roster including early starts and late finishes About Lagardère AWPL Lagardère AWPL is the Pacific region's largest and most experienced Travel Retail operator.
