If you have solid management experience gained in a fast-paced hospitality/retail environment with an RSA and food safety certification, we want you to join our team at Icons – Cairns Airport as our new Assistant Manager !
You'll support friendly and efficient service to our customers, delivering a high-quality product and a memorable experience before they jet off on their trip.
Responsible for the management of the store and team in the absence of the Store Manager, this is a hands-on role that will require you to work alongside all team members to achieve high service outcomes and build a positive team environment.
We are looking for a leader who will: Demonstrate solid experience leading a team in a cafe/food service environment Be a strong communicator and team motivator Provide effective training to staff in the areas of customer service, product knowledge, inventory control, and merchandising Demonstrate good knowledge of coffee and coffee-making techniques Be proficient with a computer Demonstrate knowledge of regulations relating to food safety Champion maturity, initiative, and a sense of urgency As we operate in a dynamic airport location, our stores operate 7 days a week to meet our customers' needs. With this in mind, you would be expected to be reasonably flexible with your availability to work outside of normal business hours if required, with some starts as early as 4am – but we are open to a conversation!
