The day to dayALS Environmental in Wangara is seeking experienced Laboratory Technicians to join our dynamic team, dedicated to exceeding client expectations by consistently delivering high-quality results on time.

Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Preparation and analysis of soil, water, and marine sediment samples for a variety of tests throughoutEnsuring that analytical procedures and associated tasks are conducted in accordance with the ALS Quality Work Instructions, including QA/QCOrganising designated tasks to maximise daily efficienciesCompleting all tasks and analyses within both the time set down by the supervisor and the relevant analysis standardHighlighting anomalies in results, sample type, and sample behaviourYou will receive on-the-job training in the technical components and procedures of the role.
The role:Casual roles are availableMonday to Friday (8 hours shift)Start times between 6:00 am and 8:00 am, finishing between 2:00 pm and 4:00 pmThe essentialsA genuine interest in the Science Industry, preferably with a BSc (Chemistry, Environmental Science or similar) or TAFE qualifications in Laboratory TechniquesA desire to work in a high-throughput, customer-focused environment, with preference given to those with previous commercial laboratory experienceExcellent attention to detail, organisational and time management skillsDesire to learn new skillsGood communication skillsA strong desire to exceed client expectations by delivering quality results on timeProficiency in MS Word and ExcelWorking at ALSOur people drive our success at ALS.
