The roleALS Oil & Lubricants in Canning Vale provides testing analysis to ensure optimal fluid health to our client's equipment.We are looking for a Laboratory Technician to work the morning shift and a Laboratory Technician to work the afternoon shift.This is a Full-Time role with 8-hour shifts, Monday to Friday: Morning shift = from 7 am to 3 pmAfternoon shift = from 3 pm to 11 pmYou will work in a small team in our NATA-accredited oil analysis laboratory, analyzing oil, coolant, fuel, and grease samples.Full training will be provided to the successful candidate through an incremental structured training program.This is a great opportunity to start or progress your laboratory career.
The day to dayYou will be responsible for the following:
Labelling and unpacking samplesSample registrationRoutine sample testing including:ICP-OESFTIRViscosityParticle CountingColour analysisAcid-base titrationsKarl Fischer TitrationsBasic equipment calibrationWork as part of a team comprised of laboratory technicians, technical support staff and leadershipPerform housekeeping duties as requiredWork to safety guidelines according to policies and proceduresAbility to move and lift racks and boxes in the 5-10kg rangeThe EssentialsBe a team player who enjoys working within a group environmentHave the ability to work in a fast-paced environment under reasonable pressureHave excellent communication skillsHave great attention to detailBe willing to work a reasonable amount of overtime when requiredPrevious experience using a LIMS would be desirable but not essentialCert IV or Diploma in Laboratory Techniques or similar is advantageousWorking at ALSOur people drive our success at ALS.We are a diverse and dedicated community united by our passion to make a difference in the world.
