About the role:
The Laboratory Technician supports the operational activities of the Nuclear Forensics capability area by ensuring efficient and compliant operation, maintenance and use of laboratory facilities, equipment and procedures, and assisting in sample preparation and analysis for nuclear forensic examinations.
Responsibilities include: Assist with tasks and activities that contribute to the capabilities of the Nuclear Forensic teamOperate and maintain laboratory equipment such as microscopes, micropipettes and radiation detection equipmentMaintain accurate and complete records of laboratory processesLaboratory housekeeping to enable operational readiness of the laboratoriesEnsuring adequate stock of chemicals and consumables is maintained for usersSkills & experience: Certificate IV / Diploma / Tertiary qualifications in Chemistry or related fieldWillingness and enthusiasm to perform repetitive cleaning tasks to address analytical requirementsStrong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact and communicate with a varied and multidisciplined audienceAbility to work independently and/or under minimal supervisionHow to Apply:
