Salary: Level 2, $66,449 - $71,191 per annum (pro-rata) (DOE (SSO) CA 2022)
This is a permanent part-time (0.8FTE) position commencing Term 1, 2025 Mount Barker Community College (MBCC) is a proud Independent Public School with a long history of strong community connections and success for our students. As a Laboratory Technician, you will provide support to teaching staff in preparing routine chemicals and equipment, as well as constructing simple apparatus for science classes, under supervision. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Key responsibilities include: Ordering suppliesManaging stock levelsPerforming basic repairs and maintenance on scientific equipmentExperience in labelling and storing laboratory chemicals and resources, along with knowledge of proper disposal methods for chemical, physical, and biological materials, will be highly valued.
The successful applicant should have initiative, good interpersonal skills, verbal, and written communication skills, as well as exceptional organisational skills. Successful applicants will ideally be motivated and possess the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively as part of a team.
