Reporting to the Laboratory Supervisor, the Laboratory Technician is accountable for conducting appropriate testing and analysis of fluid samples (e.g.
oil, coolant, fuel and grease) including uploading results and checking for quality prior to release for interpretation and data analysis.
The role also assists occasionally with the preparation of samples for analysis.
This position will be offered on a 6-month fixed term contract with the potential to extend.
Location: South Guildford, WA
Roster: 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday, fortnightly rotating roster between mornings (6am-2:30pm) and afternoons (2pm-10:30pm)
About you: Certificate IV in Laboratory Techniques or aboveStrong computer literacy skills – MS Windows & Office (critical), LabWare/LIMS (desirable)Experience in a laboratory environment – fast-paced, high-volume sample processing labs advantageousComfortable with some manual handling and liftingSome flexibility with rosters and shifts to accommodate varying operational requirements, including occasional weekend workFamiliar with instruments and software used in machinery fluid analysis e.g.
