Laboratory Technician

Due to internal movement, we currently have an exciting opportunity for a Laboratory Technician for a fixed term contract on a part time basis. Hours are: Monday and Tuesday: Afternoon Shift (2:30pm – 10:30pm), Thursday and Friday: Day Shift (6:30am – 2:30pm).
The successful candidate will support the Quality agenda by ensuring all analytical and testing equipment is maintained, calibrated and available for each production shift in a timely manner.
Duties include:Maintaining and improving quality and food safety systems.Performing analytical testing, analytical instrument calibration and maintenance.Driving site-wide quality projects.Trouble-shooting quality issues.Qualifications, Skills & Experience:Qualifications in Science (Chemistry) or Food Science or related discipline (Preferable).Previous laboratory experience in similar manufacturing environment (Essential).High level of technical skills in the areas of instrumentation and/or chemistry.High level of mechanical reasoning.Ability to work cohesively and collaboratively within a team environment.Details:Tingalpa location.
