IPA is looking for an experienced Laboratory Technician to work at our client's site in Kwinana Beach.

Duties will involve: Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe working environment in the Laboratory.
This includes using the required PPE and safety equipment, to ensure that personal safety and / or the safety of others is not compromised.
Always maintaining and adhering to the Lab 5S programs.
Compliance to company's quality standard, using and following the plant documented procedures and testing protocol as specified for each product or sample type Provide Laboratory support during product manufacturing in plant areas.
Provide Laboratory support cover to production by working on shifts (Morning & Afternoon only) when required.
Provide QA support to production during change-over of products.
This would include testing of clean-out solvent from trace active(s) of the previous product, and line clearance check and line inspection activities.
Sampling and analysis of Daily Routine Samples, and on as need basis, Environmental related samples as well.
This is to provide testing support to the plant to meet its environmental licence compliance.
Ensure routine maintenance and QA checks on instrumentation are performed.
Preparation of solutions required for testing or analytical procedures, including preparation of HPLC Mobile Phase, Hard Water, pH buffers, etc.
Conduct test methods cycle review, validation, improvement, and or development of new analytical test methods of the laboratory.
Carry other QA & QC duties that might be assigned by the Quality Lead relating to investigation of quality incidents in the plant, sampling of raw materials, testing of finished products (product inquiries or complaints), other non-routine testing requirements, equipment calibration, Waste Minimisation Program, and maintenance of the plant QMS.
Qualifications/ tickets required: Degree in Chemistry or similar qualification or higher.
Experience gained in Quality Control and Quality Assurance of products in a manufacturing environment.
Proficiency in MS Office is a must, and preferably in Business Resource Planning System (Enterprise One) Preferrable but not required, a hands on-experience in the implementation of ISO 9001.
An Australian citizen or at least has permanent resident visa to Australia.
