Laboratory TechnicianDivision: Boral Constr Mat Grp LtdDepartment: CONCRETE TASWork type: Permanent - full timeLocation: Hobart, Launceston & North East Based in Bridgwater, we are looking for a Laboratory Technician that will sit in a small team servicing Quarries and Concrete plants in Tasmania.
Duties involve undertaking sampling of construction materials, preparation of test samples, testing and physical analysis of these samples, reporting of test results and maintenance of records.
Your Day will involve: Conduct testing in accordance with laboratory work instructions, test methods, preparation instructions and manuals.Prescribed calibrations and checks of laboratory test equipment.Maintain, observe, and participate in the statutory Safety requirements of the Laboratory.Maintenance of the Laboratory NATA accreditation requirements.Other duties as directed by the Technical and Quality Manager.What we're looking for: A commitment to Safety and Quality.Well-developed skills and understanding of computer systems for monitoring and reporting of data.Good time management, attention to detail and organisational skills.An ability to cope with competing priorities and deadlines.Ability to communicate technical data to non-technical stakeholders.Strong analytical skills and a customer focus.A can-do attitude with an ambition to strive for continuous improvement.About Boral Concrete At Boral Concrete, we have more than 200 operational sites across Australia.
