We are currently seeking a new Laboratory Technician and if you have these skills this might be your chance to rewrite the future with us.Work in a dynamic and service focused team1x permanent full-time and casual positions availableBalance your life with a 9 day fortnightAbout The RoleThe role of Laboratory Technician is responsible for conducting analysis on water and wastewater to ensure process control, compliance with Australian Drinking Water Guidelines and EPA Licence conditions and monitoring the impact of various activities on the environment.You will work across Central Coast Council's Treatment Plants with some field sampling required as part of the role.The position of Laboratory Technician is required to maintain the laboratory to facilitate a high standard of analytical operation and create value for the community.To Be Successful In This Role, You Will HaveAssociate Diploma qualification in Laboratory Technology or related field OR demonstrated solid contemporary experience in a similar role, combined with ongoing professional developmentA current Class C Drivers LicenceA valid Construction Induction Card - NSW SafeWork or equivalentDemonstrated experience in the collection, storage, preservation and routine analysis on samples of water and wastewater in accordance with accepted industry standardsSolid administrative skills which enable you to plan daily programs of work, maintain accurate records and allow easy updating and retrieval of stored dataOther Important InformationThe permanent full-time role salary for this position ranges between $72k - $86.3k plus 11.5% superannuationThe casual role salary for this position ranges between $49.32 - $59.16 per hour (inclusive of 25% casual loading) plus 11.5% superannuationThis role will be able to access a 9 day fortnight.We are able to offer hybrid and flexible working conditions for this role.This role is located at the Kincumber Sewerage Treatment Plant and Charmhaven Sewerage Treatment Plant.Successful candidates may be required to have vaccinations against Hepatitis A and B and Tetanus.Shortlisted candidates will be required to undertake and pass a Confined Spaces medical.Council may create an eligibility list from this recruitment process and may utilise this eligibility list to fill other permanent or temporary vacancies.Extra BenefitsAt Central Coast Council we provide team members with a range of extras that help them balance their life when they need it.
