Excellent opportunity for a motivated and experienced individual to join our Asphalt business as their new Laboratory Technician based in West Burleigh QLD 4219.
The main focus of this position will be in undertaking tasks in relation to sampling, mechanical testing, physical analysis, maintenance of records, reporting of results for our aggregate and asphalt related products.
This is a permanent role with occasional overtime.
Your day will involve: Conduct physical testing in accordance with laboratory work instructions, test methods, preparation instructions and manualsField sampling and testing on project sitesCalibration of laboratory equipmentMaintain, observe, and take part in the statutory safety requirements of the Laboratory operationAssist in the maintenance of the Laboratory according to NATA accreditation requirementsOther duties as directedWhat are we looking for? Flexibility to work Monday to Sunday and on shift work when requiredAvailability to work on project sites away from homeStrong analytical skill and a commitment to safety and qualitySelf-motivated and able to work unsupervised in the laboratoryPrevious construction materials laboratory experience is preferredRelevant tertiary qualifications in science or another relevant discipline e.g., Civil, Materials (desirable)Understanding of computer systems for monitoring and reporting of dataKnowledge of Australian and Industry standardsGood communication and organisational skillsWhat's on offer?
