About the Role Based at our South Brisbane Site, we seeking a team-oriented, experienced Laboratory Technician to join our expanding Laboratory team.
Reporting to the Laboratory Co-ordinator, your duties will include chemical and bacteriological analyses of in-line and finished product and raw materials. You will ensure prompt and accurate test results are communicated to internal and external customers, in both written reports and verbally.
You will maintain equipment as per cleaning and calibration schedules and ensure housekeeping and safety standards are maintained at all times. You will also receive, check and store all consumables for the laboratory and undertake other duties as required. A working knowledge of HACCP, Lean Manufacturing and OH&S are desirable but not essential.
The successful candidate will:
- Hold a Tertiary qualification in Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology or similar, or have previous experience in a laboratory supporting a food manufacturing operation and knowledge of good laboratory practices.- Have strong communication skills and a dedication to get it right the first time. You must be self-motivated and able to work autonomously;- Ha strong focus on quality and safety; and- Be able to work as part of an effective team.The salary for this position is $85,000-$90,000.
